This course is designed to meet the ordination requirements for the Free Methodist Church.
Format
100% online with virtual discussion prompts, videos, and independent learning. Instructor is available for 1:1 discussion and concept processing as well.
Duration
Students set their own pace, but all content must be completed within 16 weeks of starting the course.

Course Description
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to identify the purpose, themes, structure and content of each OT book.
- Become familiar with the broad outline of the historical and geographical context in which the OT was written (able to recognize/identify key people, places, events, and dates, as well as some key worldview differences between ancient times and today).
- See the redemptive thread that courses through the whole Old Testament and Bible and how the whole story of the Old Testament fits together.
- Understand the Old Testament through a Wesleyan lens that takes the Bible seriously as God’s Word.
- Explain how what they believe as Wesleyans is firmly grounded in Scripture.
